1. Who we are

AntiqFinds ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Apex Haven Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong SAR. We provide expert-powered antique identification and valuation services through the AntiqFinds website and app.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: email address, authentication identifiers (if you sign up).
• Uploaded images: photos of items you submit for identification.
• Scan results: the identification, value range, and history we generate for you.
• Usage data: scan counts, timestamps, device type, browser, IP address.
• Payment data: processed by our third-party payment provider. We never see or store full card numbers.

3. How we use your data

• To run the identification service and return results to you.
• To enforce free-tier scan limits and manage subscriptions.
• To improve model accuracy (aggregated, de-identified data only).
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats.
• To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets). We do not send marketing without consent.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or UK, we process your data under the following legal bases under the GDPR:

• Contract: to provide the service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interest: to secure the platform and improve our models.
• Consent: for any optional analytics or marketing communications.
• Legal obligation: to retain transaction records for tax and compliance.

5. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time.
• Export your data in a machine-readable format.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Withdraw consent at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the processors required to run the service:

• Image recognition providers — your uploaded image is sent for identification. Providers do not retain or train on your data per their contractual terms.
• Hosting and database provider — to store accounts and scan history securely.
• Payment processor — to process subscriptions and one-time purchases as merchant of record.
• Authorities — only when required by law.

7. Data retention

Scan history and uploaded images are retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, we erase your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for tax, accounting, or legal obligations (typically up to 7 years for transaction records under Hong Kong law).

8. International transfers

We are based in Hong Kong and use processors in the EU, US, and other regions. Where required, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

9. Children

AntiqFinds is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
