FAQ

How accurate is the identification?+

We show a confidence percentage on every result. 80%+ means high confidence. Below 70% we provide photography tips to improve accuracy. We never show a result without telling you how sure we are.

Are value estimates reliable?+

We always show a range, never a single number. Estimates are based on analysis of similar items. For insurance or selling, always get a professional appraisal. We are not a substitute for expert human appraisal.

Can I cancel my subscription?+

Yes. Go to Account → Subscription → Cancel. Takes 2 clicks. No questions asked, no retention screens. Your access continues until the end of your billing period.

What is your refund policy?+

Scan packs ($0.99): no refund after scans are used. Subscriptions ($4.99/month): cancel anytime, no refund for current billing period. If our system fails to return a result, your scan credit is automatically refunded. Full refund policy at /refund.

What types of items can you identify?+

Furniture, silver and jewelry, ceramics and porcelain, paintings and art, coins and medals, books and documents, clocks and watches, toys and collectibles. Works best on items over 20 years old.

What if the app gets my item wrong?+

The confidence score protects you. If we show amber or red confidence, we are uncertain — try a better photo or consult a human expert. We never fake high confidence on uncertain identifications.

Is my data private?+

Photos are stored temporarily for identification and deleted after 24 hours unless you save to your collection. We never sell your data. Full privacy policy at /privacy.

Do you offer professional appraisal certificates?+

No. AntiqFinds is an identification tool, not a professional appraisal service. For formal certificates needed for insurance or auction, use a certified human appraiser. Our results are a starting point, not a legal document.
